Russian Monocular Universal Compact Telescope & Microscope
1. GENERAL PURPOSE
<> is a compact optical unit intended for fishermen, hunters, tourists, yachtsmen, & nature lovers. It is an instrument suitable for collectors, geologists, botanists, etymologists and it is an interesting toy for the teenagers.
2. DESIGN AND MAIN SPECIFICATIONS
<> consists of two telescopic bodies 1 and 2 in which the lens system is integrated. When assembled, <> is a

having 2 deg. field of view. Body 2 is a
30x Microscope
having 3mm object space field.
3. OPERATING THE UNIT
To operate the uit as a telescope, extend body 2 from body 1 to 60-70mm, aim the unit at the object and try to obtain the sharp image of the object by slight displacement of body 2 relative to body 1.
To work in microscope mode, remove body 2 out of body 1, set it against the viewing object plane with bevel facing the light source and then slightly tilting the body, get the sharp image of the object. When operation is finished, set body 2 into body 1 until it stops.

I have tried this unit out myself and am quite impressed! The case for it is only 6" x 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" making it easy to stow away in your car, boat, backpack or wherever! The microscope is quite impressive with the 30X magnification capability and works very well!
