    Description

This item is aimed towards the collectors of milk glass covered animal dishes, especially the RARE. Not much warm and fuzzy here, this is a bunny with a definite EDGE!  The good part is that he/she is shown in a book reference!  (Not a milk glass book however).  He/she appears defect free.  Note the embossed LIGHTNING BOLTS!  Can't get much more art deco than that!  BOOK REFERENCE:  "Bedroom & Bathroom glassware of the Depression years" by Marg. & Kenn Whitmyer (1990).  Page 19 bottom.  Per the Reference, this dish appears also in a couple frosted colors, and marked "Dermay...Fifth ave....New York" implying its use as a face powder box.  The white example I have is not marked, and may be an earlier 'forerunner' created by a major glass co. perhaps in the 1910-1925 period.  This is conjecture.  What IS certain is that it is very difficult to find this item in ANY color,  and may not appear in the largest milk glass collections.  Ready to display.  POSTAGE 3 LB.  Handling etc. 5.00                 AS888
LATE NOTE!  The 'black color' you see is shoe polish used as hilighter to show the lightning bolts.  This has been removed, it is all very temporary for photos; the bunny is now as white as the newly-driven snows!
